This Privacy Policy explains how Fuel App Estonia (“Fuel App”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use the mobile application.
Information we may process
Account information
If you create or sign in to an account, Fuel App may process information such as your email address, display name, authentication provider and profile information you choose to provide. Guest users may be assigned an anonymous account identifier so app features can work without a full account.
Location information
With your permission, Fuel App uses your device location to show nearby fuel stations, support map and navigation features, and verify that user-submitted fuel price updates are made near a station. Fuel App does not require always-on background location access.
Fuel price updates and activity
When you submit or confirm a fuel price, the app may store the station, fuel type, submitted price, update time and an account identifier associated with the update.
Camera and photos
Camera access may be used to scan fuel price boards and, if you choose, to take a profile photo. Photo library access may be used when you choose an existing image for your profile.
Notifications and device tokens
If notifications are enabled, Fuel App may process a push-notification token associated with your device so notifications can be delivered.
Advertising and diagnostics
Fuel App may use advertising and infrastructure services provided by Google, including Google AdMob and Firebase. These services may process device identifiers, diagnostics, usage information or other data as described in their own privacy documentation and depending on your device settings and consent requirements.
How information is used
- Provide the map, station, fuel price and EV charging features.
- Verify and display user-submitted price updates.
- Operate accounts, profiles and authentication.
- Send requested notifications.
- Maintain app security, reliability and abuse prevention.
- Provide advertising where applicable.
- Improve app performance and user experience.
Service providers
- Google Firebase for authentication, database, messaging and related infrastructure.
- Google AdMob for advertising.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple when you choose those sign-in methods.
- Map, navigation or EV data providers used by features you choose to access.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Data retention and deletion
Information is kept only as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. You may contact us to request deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Your choices
- You can disable location, camera, photo or notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can use supported guest features without creating a full account.
- You may contact us regarding access, correction or deletion of personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or its data practices change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
